Boa

A lot of people saw this video on snapchat and decided they can’t come to Costa Rica but seeing a Boa is actually very rare – Pili was the one driving and almost ran over it accidentally because he didn’t notice it when it was curled up in the middle of the road.

There are many different types of snakes in Costa Rica including venomous ones but they’re usually found in the jungle and as long as you don’t bother them they won’t bother you – they know you’re too large for them to be able to eat you so they don’t want to waste their venom.

Fun fact: to distinguish between a venomous and nonvenomous snake look at their heads, if the head is triangular the snake is most likely venomous and if it’s round it won’t be
