A Hummingbird’s Home

From the people, the tourist attractions, the animals, the waterfalls and the mountainous landscape, Costa Rica is a beautiful place and was such an amazing experience for me.

I was only able to spend 10 days in the country making it one of my shortest international trips to date. It was an unfriendly reminder how a full time job with a specific amount of vacation time would prove to be difficult for someone who enjoys traveling as much as I do. However, for the time being working is what funds my travels so this will teach me how to make the most of every trip no matter how long.

fullsizeoutput_66f4 Volcán Poás contains one of the largest, most active, and acidic natural crater lagoons in the world. The last recorded major activity was in the mid-1950s but there are smaller eruptions that occur every year.

San Carlos to Alajuela

After a scenic 3+ hour ride through Naranjo, San Ruiz and several other areas I finally arrived in Alajuela that night. Costa Rica is a small country but because it is so monotonous is takes quite long to get from Point A to Point B.

My host in Alajuela offered to pick me up from the bus station when he realized I would be arriving late.
