The Beauty of Nature

The city of Medellín has several green spaces established in what I believe is another attempt to rebuild the city’s reputation.

Medellín’s Metro

The day I arrived in Medellin I rode on some of city’s public transportation for the first time.

The metro in Medellín was by far one of the most impressive public transit systems I’ve seen: fast service, no delays and clean, like if I needed another reminder that the NYC MTA system really needs to step its game up. At certain metro stops there is also a free transfer available to one of the metrocable lines in the city. Continue reading “Medellín’s Metro”

(Not So) Violent Medellín

fullsizeoutput_75c4Often times, Medellín is illustrated as a very dangerous and violent place, so much so, that when I told one of my Colombian friends I was going he shared with me how happy it makes him when people visit his country and make their own conclusions about it rather than being solely influenced by the media coverage.

In this blog post I will answer the question you’re all asking yourselves now, HOW! In a short amount of time I’ve learned how to strategically use my time-off to travel often & make the absolute most of every trip.

Now it’s time I share my best practices with you and hopefully help you make the most of every day off and trip opportunity! Continue reading “Work, Work, Work and Travel Too”

This Blog’s Purpose

IMG_0951To be honest I’m not quite sure yet what it is, at least not all it is.

When I first started my blog it was just for my family and friends, it was a way to tell everyone about my experience at the same time and not have to answer the same questions over and over. As time passed and the travels continued I realized how much I enjoyed writing about my travels. I thought about sharing my experiences on a much larger scale but kept finding excuses and hesitating – who’d be interested? What do I know about blogging? Am I even a good enough writer? etc.
